Welcome To The Quick Laugh
Team Building Reimagined to Fit the Virtual World
It’s no secret that the office looks very different these days. Without sharing a physical space there is a lost opportunity for connection, for varied experiences, and for laughs. Laughing together is an essential way for human beings to build strong bonds and shape deeper connections, and having positive shared experiences fosters an environment of creativity and reinvigorates a team. The Quick Laugh aims to create a new experience for the virtual world, giving your team a burst of joy to share and remember for years to come. Because everyone could use a laugh today.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Improv?
In the artistic sense, it’s the creation of scenes without a script, usually played for laughs. Because of this, improv is the closest artform there is to life itself. After all, if life doesn’t have a script then we’re all improvisors, even if we never hit the stage.
So is this half an hour of jokes?
There will be joking around, to be sure, but laughter in improv doesn’t require being clever or creating a finely crafted joke like a standup comedian. It’s the laughter of a shared experience, the kind of humour we all carry inside us.
Why Improv?
Learning improv skills, mindsets, and techniques can improve your team by enhancing their creative side, their ability to be present and mindful in any type of encounter, and their capacity to embrace change in an increasingly changing world. It can make you a better leader, improve your presentations, increase your problem solving skills, reduce stress, and provide the agile mindset to better prepare you and your team to adapt and excel.

We are so grateful for your participation. Really and truly the weekend was a great opportunity for connection and confidence boosting for folks amidst such a difficult year. Your session was a highlight and really appreciated by our scholars. Thank you!
Carolyn Bailey, Director of Programs, Loran Scholars Foundation
We participated in a Quick Laugh session after a long and stressful week and it was just what we needed. Ian showed us that it’s still possible to have fun together during online meetings and we learned how to use the tools of improv to support each other and work as a team.
Jill Dwyer, Program Coordinator, Ocean Leaders, University of British Columbia
My favourite part was the AMAZING energy that Ian spread in the room. Perfect way to start off the scholars forum!
